Content Credentials (C2PA): Open metadata standard for content provenance
Unlike Content Credentials (C2PA), Danaya offers a complete hosted platform with both cryptographic sealing and AI detection — no integration required.
Content Credentials is an open technical standard developed by the C2PA coalition (Adobe, Microsoft, Intel, BBC, and others). It defines how provenance metadata — such as who created a file, what edits were made, and whether AI was involved — is embedded directly into image and video file headers using cryptographic signatures.
Content Credentials is not a product you sign up for. It is a specification that camera manufacturers, software companies, and platforms implement. Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom can attach Content Credentials to exported files. Some Leica and Nikon cameras embed them at capture. The Verify website (contentcredentials.org/verify) lets anyone inspect the metadata. However, Content Credentials does not include AI deepfake detection, does not offer a hosted platform, and requires each tool in the workflow to support the standard for the chain to remain unbroken.
Best for: Organizations already using Adobe Creative Cloud or C2PA-compatible cameras who want provenance metadata in their workflow
A photographer exports an image from Adobe Lightroom with Content Credentials attached. The metadata shows the editing history and the camera used. But when the image is shared on WhatsApp or uploaded to a website that strips EXIF data, the Content Credentials are lost. There is no hosted verification page to fall back on. With Danaya, the photographer seals the image with a SHA-256 hash stored server-side. A PDF certificate and a public verification link are generated — anyone can verify authenticity even after the file has been recompressed or re-shared. Danaya also detects if incoming media has been generated or manipulated by AI.

Capture photos and videos live from your phone camera. Danaya locks GPS coordinates, timestamp, and SHA-256 hash at the moment of capture. Download a PDF certificate of authenticity. Anyone can verify it later — no account needed.
Upload any image, video, or audio file. Our AI models detect GAN artifacts, diffusion patterns, face-swaps, voice clones, and audio manipulations. Get a clear verdict with a confidence score — free.
